Role Overview: As a Freelance Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of the R&D laboratory construction project in Frankfurt. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and vendors to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your project management expertise and contribute to a critical initiative in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan with planning consultancy, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful delivery of the R&D laboratory.
  2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to oversee all aspects of the construction process, from site preparation to commissioning.
  3. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
  4. Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with construction standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including R&D teams, facilities management, and senior leadership, to provide regular updates on project status and solicit feedback as needed.
  6. Lead project meetings, facilitate decision-making, and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during the construction process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading construction projects from initiation to completion, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulatory requirements in Germany.
  • Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken) is required.
