My client is a specialist in biospecimen and biomarkers and partners with some of the global leading innovative pharmaceutical companies. You will join a highly intelligent dynamic team as a Research Pathologist focusing on Preclinical Research and Development. This is a critical role for the development of drug discovery program, as you will be the SME for pathological evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert histopathological analysis and interpretation of preclinical study samples (GLP and non-GLP).

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including toxicologists, pharmacologists, and scientists to support target validation, mechanism of action studies, and safety assessments.

  • Design and interpret pathology endpoints in preclinical models of disease.

  • Support biomarker discovery and validation through tissue-based analysis (IHC, ISH, digital pathology).

  • Contribute to regulatory submission packages by providing pathology reports and participating in regulatory discussions.

  • Keep abreast of new techniques, technologies, and scientific developments in pathology and translational research.

  • Participate in external collaborations, scientific presentations, and publication efforts.

Qualifications:

  • German Board Certification in Pathology.

  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting histopathology within the context of drug discovery and disease models.

  • Proficiency with digital pathology tools and image analysis platforms is advantageous.

  • German speaking (minimum of B2 level).
