Director, Chemical Engineering

JCW is working with a large biotechnology organization to fill a Director of Chemical Engineering and Technical Support position in their newly renovated site in Taunton, MA. This job will coordinate and oversee all Chemical Engineering, Chemistry Technical Support, Controls and Automation, and Column Packing activities at the site. It reports to the site head.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing Engineering and Chemistry Technical Support functions.
• Leading the technical team in supporting production operations.
• Supervising new product development and its transition to production, managing equipment and process modifications, and executing process validations.
• Working closely with R&D to define equipment and process requirements for new products.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least BS in Chemical Engineering
• At least 8+ years’ experience in engineering management in a chemical process environment
• Knowledge of chemical engineering principles, automation systems (MES, PCS), and chemical process equipment
