What is the biggest problem your clients have when recruiting?
They feel as though they’re constantly trying to fit round pegs into square holes because that’s all that is available when the hole appears. They don’t need to have this headache because I’m lucky enough to spend all day speaking with the best talent (even when they’re not actively looking) in these niche markets so that when you need it, I know where the right round peg is for a perfect fit.
What is the most important skill as a recruiter?
To constantly be aware of the fact that everybody has their own professional problems they’re tackling and it is our job as recruitment partners to understand where the pain is and provide the solutions to the problem, not create more problems.
What's the last book you read?
Mastery by Robert Greene. Awesome read about the philosophy of ‘getting better at something’ – it answered a lot of questions I didn’t know I had!
What’s the most sought after skill set in your market at present?
2020 illuminated cracks that existed in global medical care, and the incredible amount of public interest and investment into the diagnostics space – coupled with the IVDR compliance deadline – has lead to high demand for talent with Regulatory Affairs experience in the in vitro diagnostics space that outweighs the supply. That’s where I’m able to help.
